Dr. Akbar Namdari

Dr. Akbar spent most of his childhood surrounded by farm animals. Witnessing many sick animals being treated by veterinarians and regaining their health, inspired him to become a veterinarian himself. Dr. Akbar graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in Iran in 2006. Following his graduation, he pursued his childhood dream and worked as general practitioner with many animals from small to large. After immigrating to Canada, he took interest in exotic and pocket pets, and spent 5 years working at the University of Toronto research facility, assisting in scientific studies and ground-breaking research. During these 5 years, he used his diverse experience to earn his Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) accreditation.

In his spare time, Akbar can be found enjoying playing piano, and hiking with his furry pal, Lenny. He and his wife, Maryam, spend much of their time camping and enjoying the Great Canadian outdoors.
